Cultivating Curiosity & Wonder
Ditto was formed over conversations & musings between two trusted friends, with a like-minded curiosity for Pinot. Pinot faithfully expresses the here and now. It is as much a storyteller for the vineyard as it is of the winemakers. With small batch, minimal intervention thinking, each year Ditto exclusively produces a red and a white from South Australian cool climate regions; Gumeracha in Adelaide Hills and Parawa in the Southern Fleurieu Peninsula.
Originating from the Italian word detto, ditto is used to refer to the same thing or something already said.
Our name is a play on the heritage of Pinot grapes cultivated for thousands of years, over and over again, sometimes resulting in unexpected but wonderous results. It also reflects the mindset of two wine-making friends, who often echo each others thoughts - at least when it comes to Pinot.
